Marama Ring | Tahitian Pearl Ring | Shahana Jewels

Shahana Jewels

Feminine and bold, the Marama ring is covered in Frangipani flowers. Wearing a flower in your hair is synonymous with being a Pacific woman.

Today many of us wear a bright flower in our hair for an occasion, or just because, but in the past, the way you wore your flower was a simple way of communicating your relationship status! Like a wedding ring, a flower worn behind the left ear meant that you were no longer part of the singles club. A flower behind the right ear, however, indicated that you were available and ready to meet the one! While the Marama Tahitian pearl ring will never replace this age-old custom, it sure is a beautiful reminder of a statement that connects Pacific women everywhere. Wear this Shahana Jewels ring to bring out the beauty in every day, accompany a freshly picked flower in your hair - or attract your very own Jason Momoa!

The Marama ring has a 9mm black pearl and is gold filled with white enamel.

Simple tips to ensure your jewellery remains bright and beautiful.

1) Pearls should always be the first thing you take off and the last thing you put on. Perfumes and body lotion can coming into connect with your pearls can eventually cause your pearls to become dull. So we always want to make sure we spray and moisturize ourselves first and wear our pearls last.

2) Avoid bathing or swimming with your pearl jewellery. Your jewellery is made with a special glue, that when in contact with water can lose its tackiness and result in you losing your pearl.

3) Avoid cleaning agents and regularly wipe with a soft, damp cloth after wearing. If need to clean your pearls, use cold water and a lint free cloth. Make sure that your jewellery is dry before you put them away.

4) Do not sleep with your pearls on. This is very common but can lead to damaging your pearl jewellery.

5) Store correctly. Get into the habit of storing your jewellery correctly will ensure that it has a long life. Keep your jewellery in a soft pouch or soft lined jewellery box.
