PEARL KNOWLEDGE
What colour pearls will I get?
Here's something I want you to know about Tahitian pearls.
We don't get to tell nature what colour to make. And neither does the oyster!
Tahitian pearls come in an incredible range of natural colours. From soft pastels, silvers and light purples to deep greens, blues, pinks, aubergines and rich charcoal tones.
And here's the interesting part. What colours we have available all comes down to the harvest. Every harvest is different. And the colours the oysters produce are the colours we get to work with.
Nature chooses the colours. We choose the pearls.
A NATURAL SPECTRUM
A glimpse of the colours
These are just some of the beautiful shades Tahitian pearls can naturally produce. And there are so many variations in between! Some have soft, subtle overtones. Others have incredible depth, with flashes of green, blue, purple or pink that change as the light hits them. But here's what's important: these are examples of natural colours, not a menu of colours you can choose from. The shades available in our collections will always depend on the pearls we receive from each harvest.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE HARVEST
Guided By Nature
I sometimes get messages asking, "Sha, can I have a pink pearl?" or "Can you get me a really green one?" And I completely understand. Some of those colours are absolutely gorgeous!
But here's how it actually works: When I'm purchasing pearls, I can only work with what that particular harvest has produced. One harvest might give us beautiful silvers and greens. Another might bring darker shades, soft pastels or gorgeous purple overtones.
I can't order a particular colour and expect the oysters to produce it.
What I can do is carefully select beautiful pearls from what's available, looking at their lustre, quality and overall beauty. So the colours in our jewellery collections will naturally change from time to time.
It's not about what colour we want. It's about what nature has given us to work with.
What the ocean gives, we treasure.
GOOD TO KNOW
Natural, Not Treated
Here's something else I'm proud to share.
Our Tahitian pearls are 100% natural in colour.
We don't dye them. We don't artificially colour them. And we don't use colour-enhancing treatments to create shades that weren't there to begin with.
Yes, you'll find pearls on the market that have been artificially coloured or treated. But that's not what we offer. The beautiful shades you see in our Tahitian pearls come naturally from the oyster and the environment in which they grow.
No artificial colouring. No dyeing. Just the beautiful colours nature creates. And that's exactly how I love them.
With love,
Shahana xx
